Our name was chosen to reflect the “empirical” basic research that has played a key role in our work since the company was founded by Dr Adrian Blum and Prof. Robert Zaugg in 2001. All of our projects incorporate a blend of well-founded scientific methods and extensive practical experience.

Having worked together in various scientific and advisory capacities since 1992, Adrian Blum and Robert Zaugg establish Empiricon AG in 2001 and embark on joint projects with a team of five employees at its premises in Bern Old Town.
Empiricon has a client portfolio of over 30 companies, and supports around 50 survey and consulting projects each year. Now with more than ten people, the team moves to its new premises on Langmauerweg on the Aare river in Bern.
Alongside its successful survey services, Empiricon continuously expands its HR consulting services and adds new members to the team.
Empiricon celebrates its 10th anniversary together with around 100 clients at the Kulturcasino Bern, with a focus on the themes of swarm intelligence and collective intelligence.
By now with 22 members, the team is structured into four specialist areas and internal processes are optimised.
Together with the University of Fribourg and a selection of long-standing clients, the “Employers We Trust.” quality label is launched.
Empiricon introduces an updated corporate design to be used for all new reporting and evaluation documents.
Empiricon celebrates its 20th anniversary. With a client base of more than 200 companies, we support around 150 survey and consulting projects each year.
Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the 20th anniversary is only now being celebrated with a team trip to Vienna.
Empiricon is getting fit for the future and expanding its management team. Alexandra Dengg, Daniela Lüthi, Marta Minder and Martin Züst join Adrian Blum as new members of the Executive Board, while Robert Zaugg takes over as Chairman of the Board of Directors.
Empiricon’s web and brand presence is also given a makeover.
